- Trend of Japanese share prices The selling of Japanese stocks and the fall in the market continued due to a rising yen caused by factors such as the huge losses appropriated by a leading UK bank, and resurges in fears of financial uncertainties in America and Western Europe.
- Trend of J-REIT interest rates At the Monetary Policy Meeting, the Bank of Japan decided to allow publicly offered corporate bonds issued by J-REIT and loans targeted at J-REIT as qualified collaterals. The market responded positively to this policy, and reflected this sentiment in the rise in J-REIT investment prices.
