ENVIRONMENT AND ENERGY

Renewable Energy

We started our environment-friendly renewable energy business in 2014 by utilizing our long-amassed expertise in community planning and partner co-creation as a comprehensive developer. We will continue to help realize a sustainable society by developing solar power generation and wind power generation facilities across Japan, always in close cooperation with local communities.

ReENE-Tokyu Land Corporation’s Renewable Energy Business

We have been developing this business under the ReENE brand name since 2018 in order to help solve three social issues: developing local economies, achieving a decarbonized society, and improving Japan's energy self-sufficiency rate. We will be able to use our industry-leading power generation capabilities to deliver new value and clean energy for the future.

Solar power generation

ReENE Namegata Solar Power Plant

ReENE Namegata Solar Power Plant

A solar power plant with an eco-friendly design, featuring a community space

This solar power plant is made up of seven areas centered around agricultural reservoirs near Lake Kasumigaura, and our company handled everything from acquiring the rights to starting power sales on our own. We're aiming for a power plant that’s rooted in the community, including creating spaces for interaction that blend well with the surrounding environment.

ReENE LOGI’Q Hirakata Solar Power Plant

ReENE LOGI’Q Hirakata Solar Power Plant

Rooftop solar power generation business that installs solar panels on the roofs of buildings such as logistics facilities

We began operating a power generation facility featuring solar panels on the roof of our LOGI'Q logistics facility in May 2019. The solar power generated from the rooftop panels will allow the facility to be powered directly by green energy.

Wind power generation

ReENE Matsumae Wind Power Plant

ReENE Matsumae Wind Power Plant

A wind power plant with storage batteries that grows together with the community

The wind farm, equipped with 12 wind turbines each rated at 3.4 MW, helps strengthen community resilience by supplying power during disasters. At the idle land beneath the turbine blades, 'Riene Wind Farm Matsumae' has opened, where benches and gazebos made together with local kids have been set up.

New Strategies

Initiatives to Achieve RE100

Tokyu Land Corporation completed conversion of its Japanese facilities to 100% renewable energy in 2022. We are committed to helping realize a carbon neutral society by leveraging our strengths as a producer of electricity, such as utilizing Non-Fossil Certificates with Tracking Information for our own power plants and supplying energy from non-FIT power plants directly to our own facilities.
*Excludes facilities that fall outside the scope of the RE100 commitment, such as those scheduled for sale or demolition and certain joint ventures for which we do not hold authority for energy management.

Initiatives Toward Further Business Growth

As a comprehensive real estate development company, we aim to achieve further business growth by adding value to a wide range of assets.

*Solar sharing business

*Offshore wind power generation business

*Photographs and schematics are conceptual images

In Higashimatsuyama, Saitama Prefecture, we launched the "Riene Solar Farm Higashimatsuyama," aiming to combine agriculture and renewable energy, and started operations at the power plant in December 2022. We’ve also entered the grid-connected storage battery business, which can adjust electricity through the market, and started operating that power plant in August 2023. On top of that, we’re also working on onsite PPAs, making use of rooftops and other parts of buildings.

*PPA stands for "Power Purchase Agreement."

Working Together with Local Communities

TENOHA Community Development Project

The idea is that by letting people experience how introducing new industries can improve local life, it will lead both to smoother industry introduction and to solving local issues and revitalization. Based on this, we are moving forward with the TENOHA regional co-creation project, working together with local partners everywhere.

ReENE ÉCOLE Environmental Education Program

This is an environmental education program aimed at kids all over the country, especially in areas with power plants, so they can learn, understand, and think about their own communities and the Earth from the perspective of environmental conservation and energy.
